and the whole idea of asking for stems is pointless. It’s true that Ozone 9 is a significant acquisition at 499, for the Advanced version, but you do get a lot for your investment a whopping 15 modules. Anyway, the genres I deal with provide me with pretty horrible mixes to begin with. However, the reason why we punt it over to a different mastering engineer is for a second set of human ears. Most of the professional mastering engineers I have spoken to told me they thought it gave usable results. I've found quite a few client's seem to use Ozone for Mix Bus processing, and render as "the mix". I think Ozone's mastering assistant is an excellent learning tool. One thing I do recommend, is taking one of your favorite Commercially Mastered songs, trimming the gain and letting Ozone analyze it, and see what it recommends, and how those rebalancing features can destroy stuff. I cant Ive used the settings it finds and I usually fix the problems in the mix instead of with a master eq. I just want to ensure, some algo isn't making me sound bad. but, it has to do with my Clients, and competing with everyone else going after the Low Hanging Fruit. I'm sure many folks will disagree with my process. Obviously, level matching my Masters to the Mix, and finally, and also comparing my Masters to Ozone's Mix Assistant thingy. Now, I often find myself A/B/C'ing my work prior to sending it off. Join house music producer Olav Basoski in this course to see exactly how he. I just recently upgraded to Ozone 9 from 5, and I hadn't used 5 in yeeeeeaaaarrrrs. iZotope Ozone 10 offers all the tools you need to achieve a pro-sounding master. Thanks for the idea!CenterOne, DynOne and StageOne all just seem to work hand in hand, at least for me. I have a mix now whose bass instrument is just too low I used music rebalance, but I'm going to try to see what CenterOne does for the bass instrument and do a more direct comparison in this instance.
